This amused me. This illustration is for a project in Omaha. Does one of you work as an architect and like your inside jokes? No one else in my company is going to notice.

Holy formatting, kinja. This does not cooperate with my iPad very well.

I’m not sure I get it... but I guess I’m not an architect.

I believe the joke is the Renault Clio in a render for a building in Omaha, Nebraska.

You can’t buy a Twingo here, but it’s the most prominent car in the picture (which is cropped to make it less identifiable, and I cut out an Audi). I just thought it was funny.

Did some just stop & get out of that Renalt? It's not exactly parked.

Ah. For some reason I missed the part about Nebraska.

I always put Citroens, Renaults, and Skodas in mine. These aren’t my handiwork though.

That's awesome. I have no idea how these things are made and I usually just get a small chunk of the plans so this made me giggle a little on a crappy Very long Friday.

It's actually sitting in the middle of a very busy road! But you know, it's all a figment of someone's imagination anyway.

They probably just downloaded whatever they could find when the searched “car model” in a database and are clueless, but I’d love it if it were a car guy. I mostly just photoshop stuff in, but I do have a 7-series BMW and Jeep Grand Cherokee as full 3D models.

Renault in the street without a driver?

Ah, ok. I was genuinely curious. Most of what I deal with is affordable housing. I wasn’t sure if, say, a BMW or Audi might be picked to make the project look more appealing and less “housing project.” I’m probably overthinking it since no one in marketing is probably involved at that stage. But yay orange Renault anyway. It's kind of fun that they're real cars in the illustrations.

It's clearly the apocalypse.

This is a really strange rendering in general. Putting something that colorful so close to the camera is odd, as it distracts from the building. As far as cars are concerned, they probably have a file with “small car”, “big car”, and “SUV” (the Q7 in the full rendering has euro plates). Side note, the sun placement is kinda goofy, the building is mostly hidden in shade. This rendering may have been farmed out to a rendering company somewhere (read: China) as that’s been becoming more common. Cars are hard to pull off, and while it’d make sense to class it up with some Audis or BMWs most Architects just use what’s available.
I like the Renault, even if it’s most likely a happy accident.

I dont work as an architect, but I am an industrial design student, so I see these little quirks from time to time

Hey. I’m leaving this on an older post for a reason. It’s about the article you commented on earlier tonight. There’s something you should know.
Are you familiar with IRC? A couple of us Oppos hang out in a room we've got set up there. You can log on at kiwiirc.com. The room is #OppoCAH. There's always someone there, but like I said... There's something you really need to know about that post.

Awesome, thanks. Haven’t used IRC since the late 90s but I’m sure there’s an app for that. Appreciate you guys’ help!
